2020 has come and gone, and we take this opportunity to look back on the past year. We are leaving behind a turbulent and strange year to say the least, one that many of us might like to forget, but we have chosen to focus on the bright spots and positive events that we have experienced here at Interal.
In 2020, we have gained 15 new customers and significantly more new articles. A wide range of articles that created more work in most of our processes; cutting, CNC / robot, punching and not least assembly. We have continued to work with automation for more efficient and safer production. When it comes to meetings/customer visits, we have had to learn to take new paths; from physical to digital meetings. It is always nice and rewarding to meet face to face, but as an alternative, Teams meetings have worked excellently and will certainly in the future continue to complement the physical meetings. In addition, a plus for the environment as we have avoided the car journey! Internally, we have also used Teams and have found that it often contributes to a faster, more efficient meeting, which saves time for other things.
Our China factory has grown in size, number of employees and turnover. We have focused on increasing expertise with a new position as quality manager, investment in new machines and measuring equipment. The article flow has grown and also a lot of assembly has been added, which has contributed to us building a completely new department within Interal China.
Now we look forward with excitement and hope to a brighter 2021 and wish a good continuation to our customers, suppliers and employees!
