Aluminium machining

How we work with aluminium machining

At Interal, we offer efficient and flexible end-to-end solutions that cover the entire chain - from cutting and machining to mechanical assembly, finished products and logistics. Through smart flows and customisable processes, we deliver both high quality and cost efficiency.

CNC machining - one of our core competences

Our machinery consists of multi-operation machines and robotic cells with a high degree of automation, which gives us both cost efficiency and process reliability. Through continuous investment in equipment and development, we can meet high demands on quality, volume and flexibility.

We process everything from small to large components and handle both small and large series. With dividing tables we achieve short cycle times and high productivity. To ensure tight tolerances, dimensional accuracy and repeatability, we use probing and vision systems in the production flow.

One of our strengths is that we build our own fixtures. With the expertise gathered in-house, we can work both efficiently and flexibly.

High precision CNC milling

CNC technology opens the door to efficient and safe manufacturing of parts with high precision and repeatability requirements. The workpiece is clamped in a fixture while the machine, equipped with several milling tools, moulds the component exactly according to the drawing. The dividing table allows us to machine from several sides in the same clamping, saving time and increasing efficiency.

Aluminium machining with modern methods

Cutting of aluminium

With a modern machine park and CNC-controlled cutting machines, we perform cutting with high repeatability and precision. We have fully automated processes, which provides great flexibility.

Punching and pressing

Our punching and pressing department is equipped with several eccentric presses used for punching and embossing. This method has a short cycle time and is particularly suitable for larger series.

Trumling

To ensure a smooth and clean finish, we tumble aluminium parts with ceramic material. Tumbling is a fast, cost-effective and environmentally friendly method that gives a consistent result compared to manual deburring.

Turning

Through selected partners, we at Interal offer high-quality turned aluminium products and surface finishes.

This method is used, for example, in the manufacture of axles and other cylindrical products. In a CNC lathe, the workpiece (e.g. an aluminium bar) rotates while a cutting tool is pressed against the workpiece and removes material to obtain the desired geometry of the product.
