Interal AB is founded

Interal AB was founded in Bankeryd by Göran Isaksson and his brother-in-law Birger Ärlig. The business concept was based on contract manufacturing with a focus on metal processing, which would develop into a focus on aluminium.

Quality stamp: ISO certification

We certify to ISO 9001 and, a few years later, to ISO 14001, signalling our commitment to quality and environmental responsibility

Automation & Digital Production

Production is expanded with a robot cell with vision technology. CAD is implemented - transition from 2D to 3D SolidWorks.

Global Expansion: Setting up in China

Interal establishes operations in China and can now offer a wide range of products; aluminium extrusions, castings and sheet metal.

New owners

Since 2009, the company is owned by Andreas Simonsson and Niclas Fotsjö.

Acquisition strengthens China operations

Acquisitions in China; Foshan Interal Metal products Co. Ltd.

This gives our customers more choice and flexibility.

Digital System Lift

China factory certified to ISO 9001 and investment in CMM.

Solar panels being installed

Solar cells and battery storage are installed for our own consumption both in our factory in Habo and in China.

New ownership structure

As of 2025-09, the company has a new ownership structure with Andreas Simonsson and Hans Lager as owners.
