A year has passed and we see it as a good opportunity to look back and see what has happened here at Interal. Here is a summary of some of the key events in our business in 2018.
During the past year, a lot has happened at Interal both externally and internally. We have refreshed our exterior by repainting the facade. We have also renewed our website so that all information is now easily accessible whether you are looking for us on your computer or mobile phone. On the production side, we have invested in a new measuring machine to further ensure the quality of the products we manufacture. Probing has been installed in a number of our CNC machines for increased accuracy, less variation and better machining results. One of our Haas machines has been equipped with a dividing table (fourth axis), which both minimises the risk of errors and streamlines machining. On the staff side, we have, among other things, strengthened with more production technicians and setters as we have received many new projects with increasingly advanced machining in recent years.
The 2018 sales year exceeded our expectations with an increase in turnover of SEK 6 million compared to 2017, which we are incredibly proud of. 25% of this increase comes from new customers, while our existing customers account for the large increase (75%), as they have seen the opportunities with a complete supplier and taken part in our offer of services in both Sweden and our own production in China.
