The automation cell is a collaboration between Interal and Svensk Robotteknik and the focus has been on developing a high-performance system that is suitable for running smaller series. Fast set-up times are an essential part, which is achieved with a zero-point system with integrated air that makes changing the pneumatic screw pieces very fast. The zero point system consists of SCHUNK's world-leading VERO-S technology.
An added bonus for the environment and sustainability is that the CNC machine in the robot cell has already been used as a manual machine for a number of years. The machine is a Brother TC-32B, a fast and reliable machine that has now been refurbished and will last for many more years.
In this cell, we will process most things in aluminium; profiles, castings, sheets...
