For us at Interal, it is important to keep track of how we affect the environment and what we can do to reduce it. Measuring and calculating this is a challenge, both in terms of knowledge and also to obtain relevant and accurate data from our suppliers. To meet the need for knowledge, the staff concerned have undergone further training in climate calculation.
For the past two years, we have reported in CDP, which is a non-profit organisation that provides a standardised and globally recognised reporting system for climate impact. With the result ”score B”, we have now received confirmation that we at Interal are working in the right direction both in terms of producing relevant data and, above all, what measures we need to take to reduce the impact on the climate. The rating scale is from A to D-, where A is top class. The average is C both globally, regionally and within our business category.
We continue to work on climate improvement measures and to keep track of our emissions; what we have done in the past year is to install solar panels and batteries, choose more environmentally friendly transport options for purchased goods, electric cars for business trips and to promote the choice of aluminium with a high degree of recycled material.
