Interal's climate impact and CDP (Carbon disclosure project)
For Interal, it's important to have an insight in how we affect the environment and what we can do to reduce it. Measuring and calculating this is a challenge, both in terms of knowledge and also in obtaining relevant and accurate data from our suppliers. To meet the knowledge need, the relevant staff has received further training in climate calculation.
For the past two years, we have reported in CDP, which is a non-profit organization that provides a standardized and globally recognized reporting system for climate impact. With a result of "score B", we have now received confirmation that we are working in the right direction at Interal, both when it comes to producing relevant data and, above all, what measures we need to take to reduce our impact on the climate. The assessment scale is from A to D-, where A is top class. The average is C both globally, regionally and within our company category.
We continue to work on climate-improving measures and keeping track of our emissions. What we have done over the past year is installation of solar panels and batteries, choose more environmentally friendly transportation alternatives for purchased goods, electric cars for business trips, and promote the choice of aluminum with a high degree of recycled material.
